Meet Avi Cohen, an L.A.-based Cinematographer who has been shooting music videos, commercials, shorts, corporate and industrial spots professionally for over two years. Learning through hands-on experience and devotion to the art, he continuously strives to push beyond his own boundaries. Although Avi hasn't been shooting avant-garde movies since he was nine-months-old, like oceans of other filmmakers, he found that if someone genuinely loves their craft, has a great attitude and is willing to shed some blood, sweat and tears, it's possible to do anything one sets their goals to.
Whether a project is a low budget or high-end production, it deserves a professional picture. This presents the opportunity to embrace a challenge, be creative and successfully execute a vision from script to screen within the client's budget. That's where Avi comes in with both guns blazing. When the camera isn't rolling, he professionally edits and color corrects music videos and commercial spots. This goes hand-in-hand with being a Director of Photography by enabling the aesthetic of the original vision to be maintained or enhanced.
Bottom line: He's intensely meticulous when it comes to detail, wears his heart on his sleeve, is a sucker for cake batter ice cream, wants to do a documentary on Lauryn Hill... and most of all, goes the extra mile on every production. Avi's a pretty nice guy. Feel free to drop him a line or give him a call to chat about an upcoming project or idea.
